ParseJet ("we", "our", "us") operates the parsejet.com website and the ParseJet API. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in via Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your OAuth provider. We do not receive or store your password.

Usage Data

We log API requests including timestamps, endpoints called, file types processed, and credit consumption. We do not store the content of files you parse — files are processed in memory and discarded immediately after extraction.

Anonymous Usage

For anonymous (unauthenticated) requests, we log the IP address for rate limiting purposes only. IP addresses are not linked to any user profile and are automatically purged after 24 hours.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the ParseJet service
• To manage your account and API keys
• To track usage and enforce plan limits
• To process payments via Stripe
• To communicate service updates or security notices
• To detect and prevent abuse or fraud

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for 90 days for billing and debugging purposes. When you delete your account, all associated data (API keys, usage history, payment records) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth & GitHub OAuth — for authentication
• Stripe — for payment processing
• Hetzner — for infrastructure hosting (EU)

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics that share data with third parties.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed API keys (SHA-256), and encrypted database connections. Files uploaded for parsing are processed in memory and never written to disk.

7. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access your account data via the Dashboard
• Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
• Revoke API keys
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
