Terms of Service
Last updated: March 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ParseJet ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ParseJet provides a file and URL parsing service that extracts text from various formats including PDF, DOCX, YouTube videos, web pages, images, audio, video, and more. The Service is available via a web interface and a REST API.
3. Accounts
You may use the Service anonymously (limited to 3 requests per day) or create an account via Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and account credentials. You must not share API keys or allow others to access your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process illegal, harmful, or infringing content
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse detection systems
- Create multiple accounts to bypass plan limits
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to scrape websites in violation of their terms of service
- Resell the Service without a written agreement
5. Plans and Billing
ParseJet offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Dashboard or Stripe portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.
Credit-based usage is metered per request. Each file format consumes a different number of credits as documented on the Pricing page. Overage charges apply to paid plans as specified.
6. Content Ownership
You retain all rights to the files and content you submit for parsing. ParseJet does not claim ownership of your content. Files are processed in memory and are not stored, shared, or used for any purpose other than providing the Service.
7. API Usage
API access is subject to the rate limits and usage quotas of your plan. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access if usage patterns indicate abuse. Rate limit headers are provided with every response.
8. Availability and SLA
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or any damages arising from use of the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParseJet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, all data associated with your account will be permanently deleted.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
