How do I convert a MOV file to MP3?

How do I convert MOV to MP3 on a Mac?

This page works in Safari and Chrome on macOS with no install. If you prefer a native route, QuickTime Player can export audio-only as .m4a (File → Export As → Audio Only), but it cannot write MP3 — so you would still need to convert that m4a afterwards.

Can I convert an iPhone video to MP3?

What bitrate should I choose?

For speech — interviews, lectures, meetings — 128 kbps is plenty and keeps files small. For music or anything you will edit further, use 192 or 320 kbps. Note that a higher bitrate cannot add detail the original recording never captured.

Why does my MOV file fail to convert?

The most common reason is that the file has no audio track — a silent screen recording, for example. DRM-protected files bought from a store also cannot be converted. If neither applies, the file may be truncated or still copying from your camera.
