How do I convert WebM to MP3?

Drop the .webm file above, pick a bitrate, and click Convert. The audio is decoded from Opus or Vorbis and re-encoded as MP3 inside your browser, then offered as a download.

Why will my WebM audio not play in other apps?

WebM stores audio as Opus or Vorbis, which most desktop players, phones, and audio editors do not support. MP3 is understood by essentially everything, which is why converting is usually the fastest fix.

Does it work with audio-only WebM files?

Yes. A .webm containing only an audio stream converts exactly like one with video — the video step is simply skipped.

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser through WebAssembly, so a recording of a private meeting or call stays on your machine.

Does converting Opus to MP3 lose quality?

A little, since both are lossy and the audio is re-encoded. At 192 kbps the loss is inaudible for speech and very hard to hear for music. Opus is efficient, so a 96 kbps Opus source is roughly matched by a 160–192 kbps MP3.

Is there a size limit?

No upload means no upload limit. Files up to about 1.5GB convert comfortably in the browser; use the API for anything bigger or for automated batches.
